A Hialeah man is facing animal abuse charges after police say he allegedly swung and choked a dog.
According to police, Victor Suero was walking two Siberian Huskies in February. One of the dogs was his neighbor’s dog named Winter. The other was his own dog named Han.
Police said Suero was providing obedience training to the dogs and became upset with Winter. That’s when police said he grabbed her by the collar, swung her in the air and then choked her.
Officials said Suero then grabbed her again by the collar, choked her and then violently slammed her on the ground, where she was motionless and whining in pain.
Thankfully, Winter is in good health and has since been reunited with her owner. Han is also in good health and under the care of Miami-Dade Animal Services.
Suero is being charged with two counts of animal cruelty with the intent to injure or kill.
