Police are searching for the suspected getaway driver involved in an attempted Coral Gables burglary.
His alleged accomplice was arrested Saturday evening.
Police have arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a Coral Gables home and led police on an all-out manhunt throughout the area.
According to police, the suspect kicked in the front door of a home in the 4900 block of Orduna Drive in Coral Gables. That’s when the suspect was met by the armed homeowner.
The homeowner shot at the suspect, as he left the scene. He got away in a white Nissan.
“It’s like so bizarre to me that this is happening,” said Karen Wright, a resident. “This never happens around this neighborhood.”
Police set up a perimeter around the community and searched for the suspect on foot with K-9s, and in the air with helicopters.
Police said the subject was in custody at around 6:40 p.m.
The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Nicolas Dar Desrosier. He's being charged with one count of occupied burglary and one count of resisting officers without violence.
