Man Arrested After Allegedly Taking $3 During Miami Beach Armed Robbery

A man found himself behind bars after police say he robbed another man on Miami Beach – and got away with just $3 from it.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Rolando Iglesias and charged him with three counts, including armed robbery. He is being held on $30,000 bond.

According to an arrest report, the victim told police he was walking along Prairie Avenue on Monday when a white vehicle driven by Iglesias approached him. The victim said Iglesias got out of his car, took out a sharp object before approaching him.

Iglesias allegedly asked the victim for his wallet before pushing him to the ground, punching him and taking the three dollar bills and fleeing the scene. Police spotted him later in the afternoon and arrested him.

The victim suffered minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
