The International Mall in NW Miami-Dade was buzzing with excitement as hundreds of screaming teen-age girls were gathered at the entrance near Macy’s for the opportunity to see a special performance by Latin boy band, CNCO.
In celebration of their debut album “Primer Cita” (First Date) members; Christopher Velez, Erick Brian Colon, Joel Pimentel, Richard Camacho and Zabdiel de Jesus treated their Miami fans to a free concert and a meet-and-greet opportunity with each of the five band members.
Lucky fans who made a purchase of $35 or more in the Macy’s Juniors Department received a free copy of CNCO’s first album and a speed pass to meet and take pictures with the guys.
At the meet-and-greet the Miami-Dade Mayor’s office on behalf of the Miami-Dade board of commissioners and all the Miami-Dade residents presented the group with a special recognition certificate congratulating the group on the release of their album.
The album “Primera Cita” (First Date) was produced by Urban artist Wisin with collaborations from Colombian singer Maluma and Spanish singer Abraham Mateo.
CNCO’s first single “Tan Facil” (So Easy) released in January 2016, landed the band on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay chart at No.25 and on the Hot Latin Songs chart at No.23, later peaking at No.1 on the Latin Airplay chart.
Earlier in the week, CNCO’s co-creator and mentor singer Ricky Martin who is in Miami shooting a video with singer Maluma dropped by CNCO’s listening party where he got a chance to check out the songs before the album’s official debut on Friday.

CNCO was formed on December 2015 after its five members were chosen as finalists in a reality singing competition that formed “La Banda” (The Band) created by entertainment extraordinaire Simon Cowell and produced by Ricky Martin.
Since January the band has been busy recording their album and touring as opening act for Ricky Martin’s “One World Tour” through Latin America, the U.S and Puerto Rico.
