Former Miami Dolphins running back Larry Johnson was arrested early Tuesday following a fight at a Miami Beach club, police said.
Johnson, 34, was arrested on an aggravated battery charge around 3 a.m. outside the club at the Delano Hotel at 1685 Collins Avenue, according to a Miami Beach Police report.
Johnson was being held on $7,500 bond Tuesday morning. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
According to the report, officers responded to the Delano after receiving a call of a man bleeding from his neck and arm. Officers found the victim, 29-year-old Drew Johnson, with cuts on his hand and forearm.
Drew Johnson, a promoter who frequents the club, told officers that he and Larry Johnson had bumped into each other in the club and that the former NFLer punched him in the face, knocking him to the floor, the report said.
The victim claimed Larry Johnson broke a bottle on a table and started swinging it toward him, the report said. In addition to the cuts, he said he was struck several more times while he was on the floor.
Larry Johnson told officers that he had confronted Drew Johnson for taking drinks from his table, turned his back and was shoved onto the table. He also suffered cuts on his hand and foot, the report said.

Security guards were able to separate the men and Drew Johnson was treated by Miami Beach Fire Rescue.
Larry Johnson was a first round draft pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003 and spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins before joining the Dolphins for the 2011 season.
He played in just one game for the Dolphins before he was cut by the team, and hasn't played in the NFL since.
