At one point, a group of officers were seen walking out of the school, including one who was holding what appeared to be a rifle.

Police and district officials said the school was placed on a code red lockdown after they received a call of a possible gun on campus.

Officers were searching the school and no gun had been found, and officials believe it may have been a hoax.

No other information was immediately known.
