A JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Barbados made a U-turn Thursday afternoon after three flight attendants fell ill, Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue said.
The plane returned to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport after the flight attendants complained of headaches. They said there was an odor or fumes on board. The flight attendants were treated on scene, but refused to be transported to the hospital, officials said.
Around 2:45 p.m., flight 385 made its way back to the gate, where hazmat crews checked the aircraft. A new crew was assigned to the flight and it continued its route to Barbados Thursday evening, the airline said.
The incident is being investigated.
