Miami Beach Police confirmed that a man committed suidce by jumping off the balcony of an apartment complex late Sunday night.
Officers responded to the Flamingo Apartments off Bay Road after first reports that someone was pushed off a balcony on the 7th floor of the complex. Witnesses gave varying accounts, with some saying it was a domestic dispute. Eventually, police determined that the victim was not pushed off by anyone.
The Flamingo Apartments have been in the news before, as police responded in February following the death of a mother of two. The woman’s estranged husband was later found dead after jumping off a building in Miami after becoming the main person of interest in that case.
In March 2015, a man was killed after high winds sent debris off a 9th floor balcony at the apartment and struck him.
