An inmate at the Dade Correctional Institution was airlifted to a hospital after he was injured in a fight with another inmate Monday, officials said.
The inmate was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center after the fight happened around 11:30 a.m. His identity and condition were unknown.
The details of what led to the flight haven't been released.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
