A Hollywood police officer shot and killed a suspect who attacked them Thursday morning, authorities said.
Hollywood Police officials said they received a call about a neighbor dispute at the intersection of North 66th Avenue and Eaton Street shortly after 9:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, the responding officer met with the caller, but a short while later, a physical altercation ensued between the officer and a suspect, said Deanna Bettineschi, a spokeswoman with the Hollywood Police Department.
Officials said during the struggle, the officer deployed their Taser, which didn't stop the suspect. The officer then opened fire with a gun, hitting the suspect.
