A grandfather who was accused of molesting his two grandchildren was denied bond on Tuesday.
Rafael Perez has been charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. The children are 11 and 9 years old.
Both children were interviewed separately and told the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office that Perez molested them when he babysat them.
The children said Perez would offer them belly rubs and if the victim refused, Perez would say, "Don't you love me anymore?"
Perez would them give them a belly rub and during this he would reach underneath their underwear and rub their genital areas, authorities said. Perez did this on several occasion over the past several years, authorities said.
The children also told authorities that they did not like being touched by the Perez and became uncomfortable to his presence.
Perez turned himself into Coral Gables police on Monday.
The name of his attorney wasn't immediately known.
