A gas leak forced the closure of the Northwest 22nd Avenue bridge in Miami on Friday.
Officials said workers punctured a natural gas line near the bridge between Northwest 14th and 18th Streets.
As a result, the bridge was closed to both cars and pedestrians. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
Crews were expected to fix the leak by next week, officials said.
