The school's website lists Sierra as a classroom monitor.

Broward County Public Schools released the following statement:

"The district is deeply disturbed by the allegations and remains committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. The employee in question will be reassigned away from the school and students pending the outcome of the investigation and will face termination if the allegations are substantiated."

Parents were upset to learn of the arrest Monday morning.

“That’s very upsetting. My kids will go to a different school next year,” said a parent.

And Sierra wasn't the only Broward County employee who is facing charges.

A school security monitor identified as 27-year-old Justice Joseph was arrested by police on Friday at West Broward High School.

Joseph is being charged with sexual battery for an incident in Miami, where police said he forced a 17-year-old to perform sexual acts.

Police said the alleged victim was not a student at West Broward High but they’re asking parents and students to alert them if anyone had inappropriate contact with him.
