A Florida man was caught with meth hidden in a container of "hot, fresh potato wedges" during a traffic stop, authorities said.
James Henry Simpson, 48, was arrested Saturday on a possession of a controlled substance charge, Hillsborough County jail records showed.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office officials said a deputy was conducting a traffic stop when they discovered Simpson, a passenger in the car, had an active warrant from Polk County.
But when the car was searched, the deputy made another discovery: six grams of meth in a container mixed with "hot, fresh potato wedges," officials said.
Simpson, of Seffner, was booked into jail, where he remained held without bond Wednesday. Attorney information wasn't available.
