A Florida girl made famous by a case of hiccups that lasted for several weeks is now facing murder charges.
Jennifer A. Mee, 19, is charged with first-degree murder after police say she lured a man into a home in St. Petersburg for a robbery that turned fatal.
The 22-year-old victim, Shannon Griffin, was shot several times after he struggled with two other men who were attempting to rob him police said.
The two men, identified as Laron Raiford, 20, and Lamont Newton, 22, were also charged with first-degree murder. Police said the trio all admitted to their involvement in the murder.
Mee was being held without bond early Monday.
The Tampa Bay girl gained notoriety in 2007 when her bout with hiccups refused to go away for five weeks. As the hiccups kept coming -- as many as 50 per minute -- Mee appeared on the "Today Show" and other national news programs.
She now could face the death penalty if found guilty.
