A Florida Amber Alert that was issued Monday morning for a 5-year-old boy who went missing was cancelled after he was found safe with his grandmother, authorities said.
Jace Saunders had gone missing in Tavares in Lake County and was believed to be in the company of his grandmother, 50-year-old Kelly Day-Dasilva, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials said.

The Amer Alert was cancelled after Tavares Police said Day-Dasilva turned herself and the child in to police.

Day-Dasilva was being interviewed by detectives while Jace’s mother and father, Taylor Judy and Brandon Saunders, have been arrested for interference of child custody, police said.
Investigators said it was believed the boy was taken by family unlawfully during a Department of Children and Families investigation.
