Flood Watch in Effect for Parts of South Florida, More Downpours Ahead

Meteorologist Steve MacLaughlin has the evening forecast for Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

A flood watch was in effect for parts of South Florida as another wet day is forecast ahead.

The flood watch will be in effect for parts of Broward and Miami-Dade counties until Thursday morning. Heavy rainfall is expected in these areas.

A flood advisory is also in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday. Locations impacted are Homestead, The Redland, Homestead General Airport, Florida City, Leisure City, Naranja, Homestead Base, Princeton, Goulds and Everglades National Park. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
