A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was one of two people hospitalized in a head-on collision in Miami Friday morning, according to the FHP.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. as the trooper, who was traveling northbound on Krome Avenue, collided with a car traveling southbound just north of Kendall Drive.
The trooper was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The other person was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center with serious injuries.
FHP officials said it was unknown how the vehicles collided. They didn't say who was at fault.
