A man died after getting shot during an altercation with his father Wednesday in northwest Miami-Dade, police said.
Officers responded to the 19500 block of West Lake Drive for calls of a domestic dispute, according to Miami-Dade Police.

The victim, a 44-year-old Markian Tyndale, got into a physical altercation with his 68-year-old father Michael Tyndale, police said.
At some point, Tyndale, who had a gun, pointed it at his son and fired one gunshot, striking his son in the head, an arrest report said.

According to the report, Markian immediately fell to the ground, but still managed to call 911 and said that his father shot him and that he was dying.
He was airlifted to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where he later died, police said.

After the shooting, Michael Tyndale also called 911 to report the incident. He remained at the scene and was taken into custody by the responding officers.
Tyndale's wife, who is also Markian's mother, witnessed the fatal shooting and provided investigators with a sworn statement in which she identified her husband as the person responsible for her son's death.
Tyndale was arrested and transported to Turner Guilford Correctional Center. He is being charged with second degree murder with a weapon.
The cause of the dispute is under investigation.
