A family traveled from Texas to South Florida to ask for the public's help in solving the murder of a man gunned down in Little Havana.
The body of 44-year-old Allan Vigil was found Monday morning in the 600 block of Southwest 7th Avenue.
"I'm in shock, honestly," brother Cristhian Vigil said at a news conference with Miami Police Thursday. "Devastated, words cannot express the pain I'm going through, the grief we're dealing with."
Cristhian Vigil and other family members traveled from Houston to ask that any possible witnesses come forward. He said his brother didn't have any enemies and described him as a loving, affectionate father of three daughters.
"For a birthday or even Christmas he's the one to buy the girls' dress or even doing their hair, I found that beautiful," Cristhian Vigil said.
Police said it doesn't appear to be a robbery.
"He was walking home as he usually does after a night at work when he was shot and killed and left on the sidewalk to die," Det. Daniel Valladares said.

Cristhian Vigil said he wants his brother's killer or killers found.
"Solve the problem, solve how this happened, who did this and why," he said.
