Many people tell NBC6 that the shooting happened next to a quiet neighborhood and the Pompano Beach Air Park.

“Sad, because this has never happened before,” one woman said.

Yesenia Tejera was heading home and recorded paramedics performing CPR on one of the men who was shot. She says her children were also in the car.

"I'm scared, I was scared, I felt pain in my belly,” Tejera said.

Willie Ann Jenkins lives across the street from where the shooting happened. She, like many of her neighbors, acknowledges the area is changing.

“I really think it's sad,” Jenkins said. “I'm always concerned the way things are going on now anyway.”
