Cyclist struck and killed on Coral Way in Miami-Dade

According to police, the westbound lanes of Coral Way have been closed off between Southwest 70th and 72nd avenues as a result of the accident

Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a cyclist was struck and killed early Wednesday morning on a section of Coral Way. NBC6’s Xochitl Hernandez reports.

Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a cyclist was struck and killed early Wednesday morning on a section of Coral Way.

The cyclist was struck at around 6 a.m. on Coral Way near Southwest 72nd Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity hasn't been released.

The driver who struck the cyclist stayed at the scene.

According to police, the westbound lanes of Coral Way were closed off between Southwest 70th and 72nd avenues due to the crash. The road reopened around 5 hours later.
