Four people are left with nowhere to live after a devastating house fire in Sunrise on Sunday morning.
Three people were able to escape through the front door, but one person was trapped inside a room when the fire broke out at a home on Northwest 26th Street, fire officials said.

Fire crews were able to break the window of the room and pull a woman out before she was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, according to Sunrise Fire Chief John McNamara.
The cause of the fire has not been released, but the homeowner, who did not want to be identified, claims it was triggered by a lit cigarette from a new renter.

She said she was able to grab her bird before escaping the home, but was not able to save her cats.
"I raced across the house, my cat was banging herself against the sliding glass door," the owner said.
McNamara said one cat died during the fire while two others have yet to be found.

The fire possibly started near the rear of the house, but it's unclear if it sparked inside or outside, McNamara explained.
"I can't fix this," the owner added. "My house was fine last night and this morning it's gone."
The Red Cross also responded to the scene and is assisting those displaced.
