‘Chewbacca' Involved in South Florida Shooting

Man in 'Star Wars mask fired shots at people in West Palm Beach: Police

It's not wise to upset a Wookiee.

West Palm Beach Police are looking for a man who was wearing a Chewbacca mask during a shooting last week, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Police say the shooting happened on Nov. 30 in the 1300 block of 11th Street, when a car with three men pulled up to a home and began firing.

Jodeci Lamar Window, 19, and Mario D. Johnson, 21, were arrested in the shooting, but police said the man in the Chewbacca mask who was a passenger in the car is still at large.

A police affidavit obtained by the Post said a witness claimed the shooting was related to a gang retaliation. A man who was sitting in front of the home at the time of the shooting was "extremely uncooperative" with police, the affidavit said.

Window and Johnson are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. It was unknown whether they have attorneys.
