First, the Little Havana rooster went missing. Now it's Captain Morgan in Key West.
Police are looking for whoever stole a five-foot statue of the rum company pirate from the front of a Walgreen's, according to a Key West Police report.
Officers responded to the convenience store at 2805 North Roosevelt Boulevard last Tuesday after the manager reported the swashbuckler missing.
Police even went so far as to issue a "Be On The Lookout" alert for the statue, which is valued at $500.
The store's manager said he would review security tapes to try to find out who made off with the captain.
It's the second theft of a sculpture from the streets of South Florida in as many months. A 70-pound, six-foot rooster was stolen from the front of El Pub in Little Havana on Sept. 16.
The rooster was returned the next week in one piece, but not after getting a new paint job.
