BSO Looking for Hooded Halloween Robber in Tamarac

Man robbed Subway restaurant at gunpoint on Halloween night

Authorities are searching for a hooded man who robbed a Tamarac Subway restaurant at gunpoint on Halloween in a frightening incident caught on surveillance video.

The robbery happened at the restaurant at 4601 Northwest 31st Avenue as employees were about to close their doors for the night, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Video shows the gun-wielding robber, who was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and had a T-shirt covering his face, barge into the store and demand cash from the register.

The two young workers complied, but the robber wanted more cash and demanded they open the safe, the BSO said.

But the robber changed his mind and ran out of the restaurant. None of the employees were injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
