A death investigation was underway in Sunny Isles Beach after a man's body was found on the sand early Tuesday morning.
The discovery of the body was made around 6:15 a.m. in the area of 167th and Collins Avenue.
Police said someone found the body and called 911.
Aerial chopper footage showed two responding units placing a tarp over the body.
The cause of death is not known, and the man has not been identified by police, though they said he is in his 50s.
No further information was immediately available.
