Police are investigating after a car was found in a Sunrise lake with a body inside.
The car was discovered Friday afternoon in the 7700 block of West Oakland Park Blvd after a witness called 911 to report the car in a lake. Chopper 6 was over the scene as divers combed the lake after pulling the car out of the water.
The car, an older model Mercury Marquis with a scooter lift attachment, was pulled from the water around 4 p.m. with the man's body still inside.
Police have not yet released the identity of the man pending next of kin notification.
