A man sustained serious leg injuries after being hit by a boat propeller off Key Biscayne Saturday.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon just off Nixon Beach. Coast Guard officials said a 37-year-old man jumped off a 53-foot catamaran, hitting a propeller.
A Coast Guard boat crew transported the man to Mercy Hospital in Miami. He was then airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
Authorities did not release the man's condition.
