Advisory Issued for Hallandale Beach After Bacteria Found in Water

A beach advisory was issued Thursday in Hallandale Beach after the Florida Department of Health found bacteria in the water.

People are advised to avoid swimming at the beach along Hallandale Beach Boulevard due to bacteria that may cause swimming-related gastroenteritis, according to the Florida Department of Health.

Water samples collected in the area did not meet state requirements. The water will be retested Friday.
