
At least 10 people were detained on Wednesday during a SWAT situation at a meat market in Miami.
Chopper 6 flew over Friendly Grocery Store and Food Market, located off 67th Street and 17th Avenue, where several people were placed against an armored vehicle.

According to Miami Police, officers were serving a warrant for a narcotic sale.
Several people have since been released after they were questioned by police.

Officers also loaded six gambling machines onto the back of a pickup truck.
Shoppers told NBC6 those machines are not in plain view at the store.
“That’s in a private room, so I dont know what goes on," a shopper said. "What goes on back there, I don't know that.”

The market is across the street from a K-8 center, and less than three weeks ago, there was a similar raid at a Little Havana store, which resulted in the arrests of a woman and a teenager.
NBC6 to people in the area who frequent the store.
“I think that’s sad," said a person. "I think there’s always trouble when you let people hang out at the store. Inside and outside.”
“This store does great to this hood," said a person. "They serve us food, meat and everything.”
NBC6 observed at least one person being placed into a police cruiser for further questioning but no arrests have been formally made.
