North Miami Beach Police are investigating an armed carjacking early Tuesday morning that led to officers opening fire and two suspects in custody, officials said.
Police haven't said where the incident began but confirmed to NBC6 that there were several active scenes in North Miami Beach and Sunny Isles Beach following the armed carjacking.

Surveillance footage showed at least one of the suspects fleeing from police on foot before being taken into custody outside the Sands Point Condominium on Collins Drive in Sunny Isles Beach.

"I was worried, what could possibly be happening?" said one resident, who didn't want to be identified. "I heard some police sirens, and heard some action in the driveway of the building."
A video posted by Only in Dade showed a heavy police presence as officers walked one of the suspects toward patrol cars near the 16700 block of Collins Avenue. The video also detailed that the person who was recording was woken up by the gunshots.

Two scenes in Sunny Isles Beach have been cleared, including the police presence just before an 826 westbound on-ramp and another at the Sands Point Condominium.
Officials said they have two suspects in custody and were not searching for any others.
According to North Miami Beach Police, no one was injured during the shooting and there are no threats to the community.
