Amber Alert Issued for Jacksonville Child Onnika Fisher, Taken by Mother With History of Mental Illness

The girl went missing Friday in Jacksonville.

An Amber Alert has been issued for 6-year-old Onnika Fisher, who went missing Friday in Jacksonville.

Fisher was last seen in the area of the 6000 Block of Dupont Station Court wearing a pink jacket with white polka dot lining and blue jeans.

Officials believe she may be with her mother, 39-year-old Charity Chatman, and that the two may be traveling in a 2000, dark green Buick Century, Ohio tag number FPA4958.

Chatman, who has a history of mental illness, does not have legal custody of the child and took her Friday afternoon during a supervised visit, reported WOKV. She is known to frequent hotels, particularly Red Roof Inns, according to a tweet from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
