An investigation is underway after a woman allegedly killed her husband at their condo in Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to police, the incident happened at the Oasis Condominiums on 67th Ave near 47th Street Sunday morning.
Police said a woman fired a gun at her husband and then called 911. Police arrived at the community at around 7:30 a.m. to what was reported as a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation.
Miami-Dade Fire pronounced the man dead on the scene. Police identified the woman as 31-year-old Amy Martinez, and the man as 34-year-old Osmanny Montano.
Officials said the married couple had a child. The man is not the child's biological father.
The woman was questioned by detectives but released Sunday night, and no charges have been filed.
One local resident says he is shocked by the incident.
"I just know that there were tenants living there for less than a year and there have never been any problems with either those people or in that building, ever, and I've lived here for more than 30 years," said Tom Grushnys.
Miami-Dade Police are still investigating the incident.
