A teen has been charged in last week's shooting on the campus of Carol City High School that left another teen dead, Miami-Dade Police said Tuesday.
The 17-year-old faces first-degree murder and attempted murder charges in the Nov. 20 shooting at the school. Another suspect was arrested shortly after the shooting. NBC 6 is not naming the suspect accused of the shooting because he is a juvenile.
Police said 16-year-old Khambell Manning died as a result of injuries he sustained in the shooting. Tranard Gray, 17, has since been released from the hospital. The shooting, which happened after school hours, locked down about 400 students involved with after school activities.
The suspect was arrested with the help of Miami Gardens Police. Officials said the motive is believed to be an ongoing feud.
The case will now be sent to a grand jury.
