Suspect Fled on Bicycle After Hialeah Bank Robbery: FBI

The FBI is searching for a man who they say robbed a Hialeah bank at gunpoint and fled the scene on a bicycle.

The robbery happened Saturday morning at the First Bank Branch at 1325 W. 49th Street, FBI officials said.

The robber entered the bank brandishing a gun and demanded everyone lay on the floor before he jumped the counter and demanded money from an employee. Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery but there were no injuries.

Officials didn't release the amount of money taken. A surveillance photo was released showing the suspect, who changed clothes and left the area on a bicycle, officials said.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
