6th Grader Arrested for Note That Threatened Shooting at School: Davie Police

Police in Davie have arrested a 6th grader who they say wrote a note threatening to shoot up her school.

The 11-year-old girl, a student at Nova Middle School, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a felony charge of written threats to kill, Davie Police said.

"I will bring a gun to school to kill all of you ugly ass kids and teachers b--ch," the note read. "I will bring the gun Feb, 16, 18. BE prepared b--ch!"

Police said there is surveillance footage showing the girl placing the handwritten note under the door of the assistant principal's office.

She later gave a written confession to school administration, officials said.

The girl was taken into custody and taken to the Broward Juvenile Assessment Center.

The arrest comes a day after 17 people were killed in a mass shooting at another Broward County school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High.
