Later on, a parent went to the home of one of the teens to speak to their parent, which was when the adults got into an argument — then someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, injuring multiple people, police said.

Three adults and two teens were injured in the gunfire. They were all taken to nearby hospitals in stable condition.

It's unclear who opened fire and if there was more than one shooter.

"This is still being investigated. It's not a shootout, however there were some shots that were fired but we’re still trying to investigate that," Miami Gardens Police spokesperson Diana Delgado said.

An adult who is a person of interest was detained and police are trying to determine that person's involvement, Delgado said.

No other information was immediately available.
