4 Become Sick on Plane at Miami International Airport

3 crew members asked to be taken to local hospital, officials said

At least four people were being checked out after they reportedly became sick from an odor while on a plane at Miami International Airport Monday.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said they responded to the airport and were checking out two passengers and two flight attendants from the American Airlines plane.

The plane, American Airlines flight 1625, had just arrived from San Antonio with 98 passengers and a crew of five, airline officials said.

The Airbus A319 landed safely and taxied to the gate. Three crew members asked to be taken to a local hospital, officials said.

Airline officials said the plane was being evaluated by a maintenance team.

No other information was immediately known.
