3 different roadway incidents impact Broward's morning commute

Broward's morning commute was impacted after three different incidents on the road, including a fatal crash, caused heavy traffic and delays Thursday morning.

A fatal crash on the Florida’s Turnpike Northbound before Coconut Creek Parkway and Atlantic Boulevard caused major delays.

The crash involving two vehicles happened around 3 a.m.

Footage from the scene showed a Jeep rolled on its side and a white Acura sedan, half destroyed, on the Turnpike.

Florida's Turnpike Northbound at Atlantic Boulevard

A second crash happened around 6 a.m. near the same area of the first crash on the Turnpike heading northbound before the Pompano Beach service plaza.

Chopper 6 was over the scene where a FedEx truck could be seen in the middle of the road.

Three lanes were closed as a result. NBC6 is waiting for further information from FHP.

W. Atlantic Boulevard and Northwest 33rd Avenue

A third incident Thursday morning involved an Amazon truck and a possible gas leak in Pompano Beach.

Chopper 6 was over the scene of the incident at W. Atlantic Boulevard and Northwest 33rd Avenue where there were multiple emergency vehicles closing down the road.

The report of a possible gas leak has not been confirmed yet.

There's no information regarding any injuries in this incident.
