"I ran looking for him because I just knew something wasn’t right," she said.

Garcia saw her boyfriend his friend lying on the ground, shot. At least one bullet had hit Moise in the face.

"I jumped on top of his body immediately to try to help him in some way," she said.

Two people were detained for questioning but did not say if any arrests had been made.

"I don’t know why anybody would do this to him," Garcia said.

The area was contained, and there was no threat to the public.

Neighbors told NBC 6 they heard 10-12 shots and saw deputies tackle and detain a man.

“Bow bow bow bow bow, and I was like, 'Wow do you hear that?' I ran inside the house. He said, those are fireworks, and I said, those are not fireworks. Somebody has to be dead or something," resident Mike D'Angelo said.

Police have not officially released the identities of the victims.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
