Miami Gardens Police spokesperson Diana Delgado told NBC6 the incident stemmed from some sort of argument inside a parked bus.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that a Miami-Dade Transit bus driver was in a disturbance with passengers on the bus,” Delgado said.

At some point during the argument, the bus driver pulled out a gun and shot two passengers, Delgado said.

Both men were airlifted to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in critical condition, where they succumbed to their injuries.

“I was just coming from the store, I heard six shots,” said Wabe God.

God said he believes he heard the moment shots were fired. He wants the violence in the area to stop.

“They was on a county bus and they was probably just trying to get to their next destination, and then somebody just decided to take their life,” he said. “I do not like the violence that is going on in my neighborhood… and it’s not fair to the community or the people that stay around here or whoever family that was- that was taken or whatever.”

Meanwhile, the motive for the incident remains under investigation.

“This was an isolated incident,” Delgado said. “I don't think the community need to be frightened.”

Miami Gardens Police is handling the investigation.

Officials said the bus driver was detained and was taken in for questioning.

Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the three people involved.
