More than 1,000 pounds of cocaine worth just over $17 million was offloaded by the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami Beach Friday.
The 515 kilos of cocaine were seized during an operation five days ago off the coast of the Dominican Republic, Coast Guard officials said.
Authorities stopped a go-fast vessel and found multiple packages aboard. Four Colombian nationals were also taken into custody.
The cocaine was likely headed to the U.S., officials said.
