A woman was killed after crashing into another parked car in Brickell Friday, causing her vehicle to go up in flames.
She was identified through dental records as 23-year-old Valeria Lopez. She was positively identified by her parents, who came from Honduras.
"The flames were about 50-feet in the air," said Mike Rivera, witness.
Miami Fire Rescue said Lopez was headed northbound on Southwest 3rd Avenue just before 1 a.m. when she lost control and slammed into a parked car. Lopez's vehicle burst into flames on impact, killing her.
There were no passengers in the car, MFR said.

Several other parked cars were damaged but no further injuries were reported.
"Her car blew up. Then the car she hit blew up. Then the car in front of them blew up. It just kept blowing up," Rivera explained.

Investigators said speed may have been a factor in the crash, but they are looking into what else may have caused Lopez to lose control.
"This intersection, everybody does something wrong. In fact, this intersection is so bad that there's a motorcycle cop there almost every day giving tickets out," Rivera said.
