1 Hurt, 1 Dog Killed in Central Florida RV Fire

Authorities say one person was injured and a dog was killed when a recreational vehicle caught fire in central Florida.

The fire broke out Sunday afternoon near Edgewater, which is near New Smyrna Beach.

Capt. Jill Danigel of the Edgewater Fire and Rescue Department says an adult, a juvenile and one dog were able to get out of the RV. The other dog died. The names and ages of the victims were not released.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports the young person was injured while trying to get the dogs out of the burning structure.
