A man was taken into custody after he allegedly shot and killed his brother during an argument in Miami Gardens, police said.
A man is facing murder charges after he fatally shot his brother during an argument in Miami Gardens Tuesday, police said.
Miami Gardens Police arrived at the scene at Northwest 168th Terrace and 14th Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.

According to police, the two brothers were having a verbal altercation which escalated into a shooting.
Once at the scene, officers found the victim, identified as Adrian Martin, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by fire rescue crews.

The other brother, identified as Willyam Martin, was taken into custody and taken to the police station for questioning, officials said. He was later charged with second-degree murder.
Police said they lived together.
"It came in as a disturbance and before our units arrived it escalated to a shooting, that's how quickly it escalates," Miami Gardens Police spokesperson Diana Delgado said. "We don't know what was the reason but they're still investigating."

Neighbors said they heard around five or six gunshots. The landlord of the home where the brothers live said he was surprised to hear the news.
"That's all I can say, they're a good family, they're a good family," the landlord said.
