Deputies Test ‘BolaWrap' Restraint Device That Wraps, Entangles Suspects
Law enforcement officials with the Daytona Beach Police Department and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are testing out a new device called the “BolaWrap,” a non-lethal weapon used to take suspects into custody. The technology, which discharges an 8-foot tether that entangles and traps the suspect, is meant as an alternative to using deadly force.
