Veggie Delight: Meatless Miami Spice Options

We've compiled a shortlist of participating Miami Spice restaurants for the three vegetarians in Miami who might want to partake in Miami Spice, which started this week. Surprisingly, they're not all Italian. Below, the perfect order at each:

Michy's: Start off with watermelon salad (feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes); then dive into handkerchief pasta (marcona almond pesto, fresh peas, roast tomatoes); finish with vegan vanilla bean cupcake.

DeVito: Whole braised artichoke "alla Romagna" (mint, garlic, chili flake, olio verde, lemon aioli); English pea ravioli (peas, marscapone, pea tendrils, hold the prosciutto); local peach bamboloni with cinnamon crumbs.

Asia de Cuba: Noodle broth (sautéed Asian veggies, rice noodles, grilled pineapple, lychee); marinated crispy tofu (soy lime chipotle marinade, Caribbean veggies, peanut soy dressing and sour mango sauce) with a side of plantain fried rice with avocado salad; chef's select dessert.

HakkasanVegetarian dim sum and vegetarian hot and sour soup; stir-fry French beans with preserved olive and wild mushroom hand-pulled noodles; lemon verbena sorbet.

Café Sambal: Steamed edamame-veggie dim sum; General Tao tofu (wok fried tofu, sweet and spicy chili sauce, veggies, steamed rice); passion fruit crème brulee tart with strawberry-rhubarb confit.
