The calls are annoying, time-consuming and almost unavoidable.
Robocalls are coming in at a fast and furious pace.
App companies You Mail and Robokiller found more than four billion calls were made in our country in the month of September.
Every person nationwide averaged 13 calls a month. South Florida area codes got more calls than the average American.
People with a 305 area code received 15 robocalls in September on average, the 786 area code averaged 16 robocalls.
But people with a 954 area code get more than most people in the country - 31 robocalls per person average in a month. That's more than one a day.
That number led to people in Broward County's area code in the nation's top ten of robocalls.
To try to put a stop to them, you can join the Do Not Call registry.
To reduce the number of calls you get, you shouldn't answer the call if you aren't familiar with the number. You can also block a number that calls repeatedly.
You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
