According to DSW’s Senior Merchandiser, Valara Gee, booties are going to be the uniform for fall.
“Women are going to be substituting them more for dress shoes,” said Gee. “There’s all kinds, from casual ones to sophisticated styles, and you can pair them with everything, like leggings, jeans and dresses.”
At DSW, ladies can nab labels for less than department store prices. Brands Marc by Marc Jacobs, Z by Sergio Zelcer, BCBG and Steve Madden are some of their hot selling bootie brands.
If your pockets are deep, South Miami boutique Capretto is brimming with haute designer foot gear.
Dede Sloto, a sales assistant at the shop, said women in their 20s to 60s love them.
“We have some with studs and peep toes and they look great with skinny jeans,” said Sloto.
At the shop, you'll also find booties by Prada, YSL and Gucci.
Evelyn Lozada, co owner of Dulce on Miracle Mile, said her Lesilla booties have been her best seller this summer.
“They are slingbacks and come in pink and turquoise,” said Lozado. “We are going to be getting some nice DKNY chocolate brown crocodile booties for fall,” she added.
Whatever style you choose, just remember to get a comfortable pair, because these boots were made for walking.
